Motueka is the perfect base from which to explore this wonderland of the South Pacific. If you are interested in the great outdoors you will find everything on your doorstep. The Abel Tasman National Park is just 20 minutes by car, the Kahurangi National Park is 30 minutes away and Golden Bay and Nelson City are both less than an hour's drive. For the keen skier the Rainbow Ski Field is but one and a half hours drive away. If you are a fisherman, cast your line in the nearby Motueka River where the beautiful brown trout abound.
